Vampire Dílleachtlann
Scroll Entry #10
Prayed to come to an orphanage of a peculiar nature today. I’m not sure what to make of it. When parents are so desperate to save their child by allowing the child to become a vampire, surely the end is nearer than even I could guess.
Hammersmith, England November 9th, 2014
Smoke wafted from below the street up to the black door marked with a large brass number “7”. Mitchell was home, Anna noted happily. She peered over the edge of the railing to the patio below with a small smile playing at her lips.
“Hey, handsome. Be there in a second,” she singsonged down to him before letting herself into their townhouse.
The angel stepped off the last stair down to the first floor and entered the reception room. Mitchell had both patio doors open and a record playing at low volume while he enjoyed a smoke outside. It was near midnight on a clear and crisp night. Anna didn’t bother taking her jacket off and wandered outside to see Mitchell.
“How are you, John?” she asked with a smile. She tugged on the hand he wasn’t using to smoke his cigarette with, and leaned up to press a kiss to his jaw as usual. “You’ll never guess what I came across today during duties.”

As soon as he walked through the door of number 7 Chancellors, Mitchell knew where Anna was and was relieved she was home. He quickly hung up his leather jacket and locked the front door, while he felt the tug of her grace upstairs. There wasn’t much need for him to call out, he was sure Anna had already felt and heard him enter the house, but he still shouted up to her.
“Anna?” Pulling something from his pocket, a flash of a small white box, the vampire quickly hid it behind his back as he went up the stairs to their room.
“You’re home!” she called down to him happily. Anna abandoned the tome she had been sitting on the bed deciphering. There was tinkling laughter followed by a flash of red hair on the uppermost landing. She glided down the stairs from their master suite, meeting Mitchell halfway at the second landing. Her eyes drank in the sight of him, a smile curving her lips and her grace bubbling with joy at his presence.
Within moments she noticed his arms were looped behind his back. She tried to peek around him to see what was behind him. The narrow landing coupled with his muscular shoulders prevented her from sneaking a peek. Her eyes crinkled in soft confusion. “What do you have there?” she asked curiously and dipped her head, indicating behind his back.
[text] There's a space next to me and a cup of hot chocolate with your name on it. Meet me downstairs?
Dust wafted through a sunlit warehouse. A redhead gleamed from down a dark row of shelving housing scrolls. Anna spied her buzzing cellphone on a table she reserved for writing scrolls. Since The Fall, the repatriated angel had taken to storing her own scrollwork in a warehouse near the Thames and her home with Mitchell. Heaven’s entryways being closed necessitated a myriad of modifications to angel duties.
Time tended to slip away from her when she was in the warehouse. Anna appeared next to her writing table within a moment. She noted the time as she swiped a finger across her cellphone screen. She had been in the warehouse all night. The sun popping through the narrow windows placed high in the warehouse walls was the sunrise’s morning rays.
She took the time to text Mitchell back, a rueful twist to her lips.
[text] Glad you didn’t replace me. Sorry for staying out all night. Angel duties. I’ll be there right after you get this text. Je t’aime.
True to her word, the angel appeared standing next to the vampire ensconced on their reception room leather couch. She instantly smelled the hot chocolate, and knew he had made it from scratch for her. The frown and worry that had marred her brow through the night lifted, a brilliant smile breaking through her glum expression.
"You are a sight for sore eyes, and that hot chocolate smells delicious," she breathed out with a happy sigh relaxing her demeanor. She took her place beside the darkly handsome vampire on the couch, snuggling under his free arm and pressing a quick kiss to his scruffy jaw.
"Can I taste your coffee?" she asked with a nod at the steaming mug of java in his lefthand.
A midnight stroll
Rami decided on a walk through a dark cemetary, she liked to do it from time to time in an attempt to help lost spirits find their place. She happily walked along the path humming a song, the feeling of not being alone stilled her steps. Looking over to a bench she saw a man sitting on a bench shoulders hunched in on himself brooding. As she steped closer she realized that it was actually a vampire and her initial thought of him brooding was correct with the deep thoughted furrow digging into his brow. Curioulsy she walked closer wondering what brought the vampire here. "Hello."
"Will you be my valentine?"
The angel stared into the vampire’s eyes, considering his question with a thoughtful expression on her delicate features. ”Sea, beidh mé,” she replied, a wide smile forming.
