Does Henry Stickmin pay taxes?

Last night, my husband and I discovered that in the US, if you, a thief, have stolen property. Then you can write the stolen property as income.

Yes, you read that right.

Which begs the question, does Henry even pay his taxes? If he doesn't, he should be in jail (or somehow avoids it).

If anybody would like to answer this, feel free to do so or add some input.
