You're going to have to explain further cause I don't understand how a gender can belong to a culture. Gender is gender, isn't it?

Nope.

Nothing is universal. Believing that things like gender, or, I don't know, forgiveness, or other concepts like that are universal is a very white colonialist (and in many ways a legacy of Western Christianity) thing to do. 

Every culture has its own understanding of all of this, and it's awful and colonialist that people of color now have to live with white-dominant perspectives on all this shit without white people also like, adopting the few things they have left to be theirs.

I can't locate some of the resources I had on this right now, but here, have one.

Venomous snake definitely. I not only trust them more than spiders, but they’re so cute and fun! I’ve decided I’m going to have a ton when I’m older.

I would name it Elinor because that’s the most adorable game ever

I wouldn’t change the past, but mainly cause if someone did that, no one would learn from their mistakes and the world would be a lot worse.
