Butterflies and cherry blossoms galore at @thehotelshowmea The colourful stand of Abu Dhabi University (@AbuDhabiUni ) at the Hotel Show caught my eye. Various designed and handmade pieces of furniture , crafted with attention to detail, were tastefully used as a portfolio for the University's Interior Design course. The design instructor, Ms Aya (seen in the photo @aya.h.hammash ) shared with me the inspirations behind the chair, screen and butterfly installations (IE Japanese inspired). The chair that she was sitting on, was created by one of the students who was inspired to apply designs from Palestinian traditional women dresses, onto the chair. #muralpainting @thehotelshowmea over the last 3 days. A BagnoDesign, 17A Art Consultants and Art Painting Lab collaboration .... Just watching the team paint away was a total zen moment. The walls were painted with short, swift sweeps of sea hues. Then it seems like yogis were jumping into the pool of paint, one yogi plus stretch of wall. The 10 m #wallart did inspire the imagery of one soaking into a luxurious scented bubble bath, while melting away into a meditative bliss. #bathroomdesign I must admit, blank walls are my weakness. I did feel like #doodling in the corner of the wall. But I stuck to taking a short vid instead.
