I wish I could tell Clara everything about myself without fear. It would be nice to have someone who knows everything.

Peter glanced up from his book just in time to get a quick glimpse of the person he was about to run into. This is why we don't read and walk at the same time, Parker.
Peter sighed, glad he hadn't knocked the person over. "Hey, ah, I'm really sorry about that. Ah, are you alright? I'm really sorry. Totally wasn't, ah, watching where I was going."

Another World (1890) || Clara x Cris
It had been a long day at the shop. Mrs. Perkins had come in wanting a book for her husband but did not know the title, the author or the premise. Only that the cover was green. That narrowed it down to over one hundred in his store alone. Cris had worked with her for almost three hours but she deemed that none of the books he showed her were the proper one and he was a poor bookseller if he did not know which one it was she needed. She had left in a huff and Cris closed the shop early.
Making his way a few doors down, he opened the pub door and was greeted by the malty scent of the beer and the warmth from the fire. Stopping by the bar after work was becoming a habit and he had heard the rumours that he was trying to woo the lovely barmaid that worked there. That was not the case but he allowed the rumours to continue anyway.
Taking his normal seat at the bar, he smiled as he saw her walk up. "Why, Miss Oswald, lovely as always this evening. Could I get a pint please?"
