I was given permission by the wonderful #JaredGradinger to harvest the quinces from this brave little tree in #TheImpossibleForest. Set about gratefully making some stewed quinces and some nice puree out of the skins. Even saving up as much of the seeds for later use in moisturizing gels (only the entirely whole ones since they do contain cyanide). More on that some other time. As little waste as possible. The last little bits will wander into the compost. Quite happy with the results. Will be trying them with pancakes, on bread and maybe on scones over the coming weeks.
