oh golly gee, i sure love when i tell someone that i’m studying german and they say something like “german sounds really ugly 😂😂😂” like fuck off. no language is ugly. only people who call other languages ugly are ugly
#i'm sorry people being cruel about other languages angers me like nothing else#like a language is someone's culture#it's someone's dreams#their child's first words#it's people's songs and stories#people's connections#their wedding vows#their inside jokes#their filler words#their prayers#their hellos and goodbyes#and you have the nerve to call that ugly?#language is beautiful and you can suck my meat#(and i singled out german because that's the language i'm currently studying)#(it is FAR from the only language to get mistreated)
