Heartbreak? Well... if you're talking about the romantic kind, I'm, ah... sorry to disappoint?

Maybe it's all the ( vague gesturing, ) lack of relationship experience, but... I don't think anything'll ever compare to watching ... that.

Grace is, for most intents and purposes, someone who doesn't utilize any sort of mask, or an affixed front. For better or for worse, she wears her oversized heart on her sleeve, though it might take conversing with her more than once to realize that -- she's a guarded woman, but she doesn't act any differently with anyone, just more trusting with some than others.

She defies much of the logic that might apply to others that've went through what she has, and most of that is willingly. If anything, she's so unabashedly herself that it runs people off. Alyssa surely wouldn't have had it any other way. In the face of anxiety, optimism. Or, put like her mother would have said it, if you get knocked down, just make sure you get back up.
