Dean tossed his cellphone into the passenger seat of the car, fumbling with the tie and stiff cuffs of his suit. He’d been on the road nearly non stop since getting a message about a pair of vampires in the area from a fellow hunter who, somehow, he didn’t remember hearing of. She knew his father well enough, but he’d never really mentioned her.

Yanking an FBI badge from his glovebox, Dean stepped out of the car and put on a pair of sunglasses, grateful for the chance to stretch his legs, but inwardly cursing the heat. He slipped the badge inside his suit jacket and stepped off, looking for the woman who had contacted him not too long ago.
