Cocteau Twins. (I just went through all your posts to make sure this hadn't been answered.)
Okay so it’s super flattering that I’m still getting these (I think I currently have eight left after this) and I will definitely answer them all but also I kind of miss having a regular tumblr? So maybe it’s time to wind these down. But thank you to everyone! I’m kind of shocked that this got SO MANY responses (I guess I should come up with a tag when I’m done them all), but I hope people have been enjoying them.
Am I a fan: I think Heaven or Las Vegas is a great, great album and I like the other scattered songs I’ve heard but I’ve never invested any serious time in the rest of their work. I do listen to Heaven or Las Vegas a lot, though. (Ha, and a friend expressed surprise recently that I had gaps in my listening. Like almost everybody, it’s almost all gaps! There’s too much music out there for it to be any other way.)
First song I heard by them: "Carolyn’s Fingers"; I forget when or where I got it.
Favorite song: It’s really that whole album, but I have a lot of feelings about “Road, River and Rail.”
Seen them live: No, and sadly I expect I never will.
Favorite member: It was always Elizabeth Fraser, and after reading this it was even more so Elizabeth Fraser.
