What top 5 movies do you love that most people think you would hate?

1. How to Be Single
People are always surprised to know that I like this movie which is funny because I’m all for women finding their own worth outside of romantic relationships so a movie about it? Up my alley. And seriously--romantic relationships do not define your worth okay? You are significant on your own bbs.
2. The Dark Knight
I’m so vocal on how much I hate DC Movies. I think the last Batman movie I enjoyed was with Michael Keaton? So anyway, other than Wonder Woman which everyone knows I LOVE, The Dark Knight is the only DC movie I’ve enjoyed. Batman Begins bored me, The Dark Knight Rises always feels like a fever dream to me, I’ve never been able to sit through a movie about Superman and Ben Affleck has the kind of face I want to punch.
3. Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
Stoner comedy does not seem like my cup of tea, I’ll be honest. But I grew up in a uh very... green community. Surprise!
4. Ghostbusters
See, this one shocks people because I’ve never seen any of the original movies. So I have die-hard fans of the original offended that I love the remake (90% of them haven’t watched the remake and shit on it just BECAUSE like d a m n if I say something sucks/I don’t like it I’ve at least tried it or would be WILLING to try it on someone’s recommendation) and I have the casual fans surprised because I’ve never had any interest in Ghostbusters before.
5. The Santa Clause
I get seasonal affect depression which kicks in around September-November and lasts until around January-April. Around age 13, Christmas became a very difficult thing for me and it still can be. So it remains common knowledge that holiday movies aren’t really my thing. This movie and Home Alone are the exceptions.
