Astrid was peacefully trying to eat her lunch when her friends went on about Tobias and his girlfriend. It hurt having to listen to them chatting on about how they were the perfect match and how they would have the cutest babies. Tobias was the love of her life, but she couldn't tell anyone. All she could do was smile as her friends went on about how Tobias and Catherine was meant for each other. It was tearing her apart on the inside, but she had too keep the emotions for herself. "Hey, Tobias – over here!" Her friend Samantha shouted and waved Tobias over. A sigh escaped Astrids lips as the male got closer. She did not want to face him, not at that moment. "Hey guys," he spoke and smiled – obviously turning his attention slightly more towards Astrid. The blondes eyes were glued to the floor, refusing to make eye contact with the male. She was actually struggling to keep the tears inside, it seemed to be an emotional day for Astrid – not a day where she wanted to hear about Tobias and Catherine and their future marriage and happy ending. "How are things with you and Catherine?" Samantha spoke out of curiosity, giggles echoing through the room. Astrid could feel his eyes searching for hers, how his whole body-language went from confident to insecure in seconds. To say that the question made him uncomfortable couldn't be more on point. "G-good," she could hear him quickly replying. "Oh common, give us some details." And with that, Astrid was on her feet. Without excusing herself, she almost ran off – desperately needing to get the hell out of the building. Once she pushed the doors open, she gasped for air as if she had been holding her breathe for minutes.
