“Let’s see, this should be a good starting pile...”
After a few trips from my table to the shelves and back, I considered myself to have enough material to learn as much as I could about things related to this world. As I’ve come to realize that Vraelgard has a native language of its own, which doesn’t seem to undergo the same process of automatic translation as other texts in this city do, I decided that studying said language would be by far the smartest course of action to begin my studies. And what a better place to check that than the library inside of the Order of Mushroom Wizards’ headquarters?
...Man, when was the last time that I was actually studying in an active manner like this in a library? My power made school pretty easy to me in several lives of mine, so to actually have something completely new to learn like this is... Exciting? Scary? I don’t know, personally.
“I mean, you’ll likely learn it in a much faster pace than most people anyway, thanks to me.”
“Yeah, yeah, just like I did with Ahn-senpai’s Korean lessons. Still, it’s something that I’m actually interested in learning, for once.”
Of course, it’d be impossible for me to read all these books I got in a single day at a normal reading pace. But that’s okay. With my patented ‘skim the pages quickly and use Retaining Eyes to keep the visual info in my head’ in my head, I don’t even need to pay close attention to what I’m readin to learn stuff! Out of courtesy, though, I could maybe try reading at least the first one in a more traditional style.
There is another reason why I picked this specific library to study, rather than the Royal Library for example, but as I was thinking about it-
“Uh?!”
I notice that someone else has laid a few books on the table. When I look up to see who did it, I find that the culprit disturbing my peace and tranquility is... a Transmorpher?! You know, like that cartoon series that aired on TV when I was a kid! Most of the series is actually from the United States, but they produced an anime, which I got to watch. The plot was rather confusing, though, and I personally preferred watching Precure.
“...Please. Don’t put the books down that loudly.” I ask them. Considering that they are, this might be a foolish act. But surely they are civilized enough not to attack people inside of a library, right?!
