Looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll, a cinnamon roll, and could kill you.
Are you suggesting that I’m somehow a literal cinnamon roll with a knife?

Another Mundate -M & E-
Elaine Mallory had lived through a lot. More than she would care to discuss with anyone, and she hadn’t. Everyday was a coin toss between bizarre and mundane. Lately, things had a growing potential to be more mundane, but her life wasn’t without the influence of the Summer Court and budding adulthood. It filled her with a bit of hope and comfort to think that she might make normal friends and meet a normal guy.
“What interest would thou have in a mortal man? Thou studies are not finished. Thou focus should be with thine promises to me.”
The Summer Lady had a point. Elaine hadn’t yet lived without being in the pocket of someone else, someone who she had depended on for her safety and well-being. Yet like most young adults, Elaine thought the Sidhe could shove it. She needed a break from working and training- as she had for years under Aurora. In hindsight the exchange left her worried. Scared for what Aurora would do with the knowledge that she had interest in the young man named Michael. There was no telling what her and her minions would do to the man. Moreso, she was less surprised Aurora had deduced the budding relationship that existed outside of the Nevernever. The sorceress should have assumed nothing she did was private, which made everything she did a bit more awkward. Banishing the thought, she continued to shower. Michael was very patient, which actually meant the world to Elaine even if she never said so. She had all sorts of issues: trust issues, avoidance issues, social cue issues, (to be perfectly honest) intimacy issues, etc. However, Michael wasn’t one to be pushy about his inquires, however normal, in getting to know her better. She had to press him about seeing him again after their initial meeting. On top of things, they had a bit of a distance issue. While Elaine had a place to stay, care of her Sidhe benefactor, she wasn’t always there. Likewise, Michael didn’t live on the west coast. He worked in construction and was there for work. Michael was also older than she and that had an intimidating factor at first. But in spite of not being good about keeping their phone dates (she could only use an older-style land line with any bit of luck), he continued to talk to her. He even indulged her love of writing, and often sent a quick note within a card or a postcard for her collection of the places he worked. The sun was still quite high above the Inn of the Seventh Ray, which at first Elaine misheard as “Seventh Day.” It was easy to get wrong, knowing that Michael was very Catholic but it made finding out from people where it was hard. It was nestled in a crossroads among the mountains northwest of Santa Monica. She’d never been there herself but the trip there was quite breath-taking. She had to really focus hard on containing her energies to avoid problems with her taxi ride. The less she popped her head into the Nevernever to get around the better. “May I help you, miss?” An unfamiliar voice rattled her daydreaming.
“Oh, no, no. I’ll wait. I’m early for once. I’d like to savour it,” she replied kindly and the hostess seemed to be sated.
