Well in terms of money, you’re probably gonna make more from the receptionist job as opposed to tutoring. Is it gonna interfere with your extra cirriculars though? Cause that would be sort of ironic. Getting home at 9 doesn’t sound fun though.
I just did the math on it, and if I took the weekend job I would only be working 12 hours a week. The weekday job, though, is around 4 1/2 hours a day, which is 22 hours a week, which definitely would pay a lot more than weekends and certainly more than tutoring.
(the rest under the cut to spare everyone who doesn't care from reading this)
But I'm tutoring my best friend's younger sister, so I feel almost obligated to hold keep that going. They definitely would understand if I couldn't do it, though. I would just feel guilty.
Also it's hard to say if it would interfere with my extra curriculars. The newspaper is Tuesdays and Thursdays after school (2:30), and the job starts at 4:30, which means really only an hour and a half at the paper, when last year I stayed until 5 most days and then 8 towards the deadline. As editor, I imagine they would want me to do the same thing this year. However, they also would understand if I had a job, and I could work through my fourth period spare on days where a lot of work needs to be done - which wouldn't be the same, but it also is pretty good.
ALSO I can use my fourth period spare as time to do homework, so after work I can just go to sleep. Which would be good. Also this would be an excuse to make my parents get me PVR which I really want.
