Are you in middle school or high school?! Arcus Youth Group meets tonight at The Network (343 Atlas Ave SE Grand Rapids MI 49506) from 7 - 9:00pm. This is a place where Middle and High School students can have fun, hang out with other students their age and discuss some of the issues going on in their lives. Arcus meets the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month. No one over the age of 20 please.

The Network recommends another great LGBT themed film. "The Way He Looks" is opening at the UICA on November 28. This film has received much critical acclaim and has won several festivals. It's a great film that we think you will enjoy seeing. I've attached a link to the trailer as well as a link to the UICA's event page so you can see when "The Way He Looks" is playing! Did you know that there's an Indie Film Festival going on at the Woodland Mall Celebration Cinema? This year there's a great LGBT focused film, "Pride". We encourage you to show your support and go see a great film! Synopsis: "It's the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers' families. Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person. As the strike drags on, the two groups discover that standing together makes for the strongest union of all." Click here to watch the trailer for Pride.
