There’ll be more photos to come soon but I needed to share this now! The tarot deck, puzzle game, coming of age story hybrid that @postcurious and I spent a year and a half developing and creating finally landed on doorsteps in the UK yesterday and I am STOKED. The Light in the Mist is one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever worked on and the feedback and reviews we’ve been receiving for it have completely spun me out. Rita did all of the grunt work speaking to manufacturers, getting quotes and samples, test printings and tweaks made. Meanwhile I got to sit back and wait for the final, polished thing to arrive before I physically held anything in my hands and the sense of gratification is HEALING. I tend not to spend a lot of time revelling in this feeling before I move on to the next thing but on the advice of my therapist I’m going on record to say I am incredibly proud of the thing we’ve made here and I’m so excited to finally be sharing it with everyone. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the Kickstarter the unprecedented success it ended up being! WOWZA! Thank you so so much to everyone who has backed The Light in the Mist so far 😵 We’re less than 24hrs into the Kickstarter campaign at time of writing and already over 250% funded. The Light In The Mist launches on Kickstarter tomorrow! 78 cards is a lot of individual illustrations, each with their own embedded symbolism and game mechanics, and the task of finishing all that artwork will be complete later today! We have decided on a launch date for The Light in the Mist, the tarot deck narrative puzzle adventure that @postcurious and I have been collaborating on. It will be going live on Kickstarter Sept 21 at 8am EST, with unlimited regular + collector's edition copies of the game, as well as a special (and very limited) reward that may excite those of you who are into that sort of thing. ;) Also, here's a photo of the first professionally printed prototype of some of the cards!
