Rocks skittered down the side of the cliff as he gripped tighter onto his tiny handhold. Pressing his face against the wall for any moticum of respite he could get, Bengal panted hard, trying to ignore the snow freezing the shredded edges of his wings.
He sighed. There were worse ways to go.
But he'd rather not.
Taking in frozen air, he lifted his left flank onto the handhold currently occupied by his left claw, and pushed. The hold collapsed.
For a split second all four of Bengal's limbs scrambled, panicking in the unfamiliar cold, high in the air without the security of flight, and alone.
Not when I'm this close, NO--
Then he felt a familiar shove against the spines of his tail, and he was laying flat at the top of the rock face. Alive, shockingly.
He immediately pushed himself onto his stomach and crawled towards the edge to help up the only familiar face he knew could have possibly made it across the pole in time to save the day--
Concert photos are always a lot of fun with an interesting challenge of balancing settings with the lighting.
I have a friend who has been the singer of a local band, Last Year’s Model for years.
A lot of times, concert photos are more difficult because of the lighting choices.
This venue was called 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown, WV. The owners/operators of this venue had a good understanding of lighting and making the floor look good.
The lighting at this place was repeatedly changing , but they understood the need for strong lights on the musicians.
This understanding helped so much with taking photos. I didn’t have to have high ISOs with grainy shots or slow shutters with motion blurs.
Going over these shots also makes me miss concert photography.
Whoever handled the lighting also understood the impact of the colors with the songs and they may have thought about that as LYM played.
I liked stepping back and enjoying the framing that lighting gave. The dark silhouettes of the crowd helped give that sense of depth.
After the show, I helped my friend and his band pack up their equipment and await their van on Pleasant Street. We also hung out with some of the other bands.

~ False Blessings~. A creepypasta by @creepypastaartist3
The woods where dark and quiet, the only noise was the heavy steps of the four Proxys walking throught the woods. Masky, Hoodie, and Toby where leading Dina, Judge angle, though through the as Slennderman instructed them to do. Dina swong her sword carlessly though over grown bushes and vines grumbing annoyedly, "when are we going to get there?my feet are killing me." Hoodie turned to look at the young Proxy, his voice changer crackling softly as he spoke, "Keep swinging that sword loudly and he'll hear you," Dina scoffed lightly, "I'm not hiding from nothing. The tall one said im here to hunt and thats what I intend to do."
"Oh look, another idot with a death wish." Masky chimed in sarcasticly, "And while your on your ego trip, let us know how that turns out when e find you with your eyes burnt out your skull." Dina crossed her arms pouting a little from Maskys rude comments, "For your information I can handle myself." That made Masky turn around sharply glaring directly into Dinas eyes, "Listen here rookie, we've been patroling for three hours, if your ego gets us trapped in some holy fire because you want to play with your antique butter knife, I'm leaving you behind."
Hoodie stepped in between them, "Thats enough! Slenderman didn't send us out here to fight like damn high schoolers." Besides them, Toby let out a sudden crack in his neck as he turned his head to look at Dina, the light from the moon that was covered a little by clouds reflected in his yellowish tinted goggles as he smiled manicly, "Don't mind Masky, he's just out of his cigarettes and it gets him all worked up over nothing." Toby let out a small laugh as he stuttered, "But he is right about one thing, you are definitely not the biggest threat in these woods angel." Dina flinches at the sudden nickname. Her grip on her sword tightened till her knuckles turned white, "don't ever call me that again." She hissed though gritted teeth, "I took this sword from the very man who locked me away and treated me as a monster. I am a judge, I am the Judgement day and I make sure men like him never live to see the next day."
"Funny you say that." Hoodie cuts in, his voice lowering a little as he spoke seriously. He stopped walking, turning around to face her through the light fog. "Because the tall one is taking you to meet someone. Someone he thinks you need to see, and he is an angel. A real one."
Dina laughed bitterly not believing Hoodie in the slightest, "Yeah right, why would a 'real' angel ever want to work with us? we're monsters, holy things like that would eat us for breakfast." Toby tilted his head sharply to the side almost bird like, "he's on Ophanim, in heaven their called Thrones. Their like these giant wheels with thousands of eyes and wings with endless holy fire around them, here though he takes a more human form so we can see him withought our eyes burning out. He goes by Andrew, Slenderman gave him that name when he found him in the woods." Masky added, "Slenderman said he found the basterd laying in a ditch bleeding this gold fire." Leaning against a tree annoyed Masky continues, "Andrew ran away from his 'father'. He was beaten, broken, and forced to be a mindless tool of judgment until he couldn't take it anymore. Sound familar?"
Dina went compleatly still, her black eyes widened slightly. For the first time since entering the woods, her defensive walls cracked. "He... He ran from his father?"
"yeah" Toby muttered, his stuttering softned. "And he's super protective of us because we're broken too. He wears these fancy clothes, black velvet with gold embroidering, he keeps us safe from the outside world. And if an Intruder gets to close there dead in a flash."
Suddenly, the wind dies down. The howling forest completly vanished, plunging the woods into a sufficatng, unnatural silence.
The air filled with a sent of burning church incense making the air feel warm and strangly calming.
Toby stopped twitching, Hoodie froze, and masky dropped his hands to his sides, his cynical attitude completly vanished.
High above them in the darkness of the tree branches and leafs, a pair of eyes snapped open. Gold like flames glowed in his eyes as he looked down at the four curiously. His eyes where unblinking and unnaturally calm, like he was studing them, listening, anf carfully judging.
Dina looked up. For the first time in her life, she didn't see someone staring at her black eyes with digust. The golden eyes in the trees looked down at her with a deep, ancient, painful understanding.
"He's watching," Hoodie whispered, "put the sword away Dina. Let him see you're safe."
