where: sweet nothings bakery's booth
After his second lap of almost going over to the booth to then pivot at the last minute, Lucky figured that he couldn't avoid inevitable conversations forever. The unknown was sometimes a little comfortable for him than the unpleasant, and seeing Liza again could go either way.
He hoped that there was some awareness of the efforts he was making to right his wrongs, though he doesn't hold his breath for any kind of absolution. When he reached the top of the line, he removed his sunglasses, folding the temples across one another so he could use the pair as a pointing device for the baked goods he gestured at.
It wasn't hunger that inspired his question, instead it was an attempt at a temperature check.
"Got any recommendations for which of these is the best?"

Sweet Nothings Bakery
Every day Naoise fights the urge to run into straight into the back of Sweet Nothings, find Liza with whatever delicious thing she's baking that morning, steal said mix from her and swallow the batter whole. So far, he's won this battle (one of the prerequisites of keeping a job in a bakery). This morning he fought the urge by stopping for a coffee with two extra sugars, but he has to curse himself when gets to work and realises he neglected to think about anyone but himself. Everyone else: no coffees, Naoise: an extra sweet, guilty coffee.
'Sorry,' he says with a half smile when he sees Liza toiling away in the kitchen. 'I got selfish at the coffee shop. Forgot there was anyone else in the world apart from me and this coffee when I got in the queue.' He makes a mental note to remember generosity/plain manners tomorrow morning but who knows how long that will stick. He hovers in the doorway and watches her work for a moment, then, 'Any rejects this morning?'

Lucy: I want to darken my hair. If you're free this weekend we should totally go buy some packet hair dye, I know if I do it on my own it will look awful.

Alara had hoped she'd been sneaky in her visual measurements of Elise, using a hand when holding her to get a basic idea of the little girl's size. Because she had wanted to surprise Liza with the outfit. Alara had never made anything quite like it before, certainly nothing so little. And it had been a fun project. She'd picked out a black and white spotted fabric, not wanting to choose something typically pink or girlish (thought she had come across some gorgeously girly patterns she'd love to use in future, should Liza approve of such things). The onesie had little ruffles at the shoulder, snap buttons at the bottom for easy diaper changing, plus a matching headband with bow. Presenting the giftbag to Liza, Alara couldn't help the grin. "I hope you like it." @thelizaxlevin

"I spent an embarrassing amount of time on this." Lucy was never going to get all the glitter that didn't dry on her fae wings out of the carpet. "But I think it turned out pretty!" Dressed as a Fae in baby blue, she'd spent most of the day blowing bubbles from her 'wand' to entertain the little kids. "I'm running out of bubble mixture, though. I got a little too excited with it."

"how the baby going?" lucy chips, sipping on her non alcoholic mocktail she'd ordered specifically with a little umbrella in it. lucy had visited a few times to be helpful as possible, but she tried not to come around too much to feel as if she was impeding on a special time of the immediate family bonding with the new baby. she didn't expect both liza and wes to turn up tonight, but it was nice to see them out and bout and getting a little break. "and how're you feeling?"

ellie's heart brimmed with genuine excitement at the thought of liza's impending engagement and her having a baby soon. the happiness that radiated from her friend's journey was a warmth that resonated deep within ellie. nowadays, she even found herself frequenting sweet nothings bakery. today, like so many others, the brunette was out for a coffee run and decided to get some pastries here as well for her colleagues in the library. leaning against the counter as she chatted with the blonde, she couldn't help but jest, " should you still really be working like that? i mean--i love all the goodies you bake, but maybe you ought to get some more rest. " her tone was laced with affection, a gentle ribbing that masked a genuine concern.
