She is an OC character in a French animated series called by "The Long Long Holiday" in English and in French is " Les Grandes Grandes Vacances" that tells in September 1939, Colette (6 years old) and Ernest (11 years old) are welcomed by their maternal grandparents in a fictional village named Grangeville, near Dieppe in Normandy. The short vacation becomes semi-permanent when their father goes off to fight, following the mobilization of France to fight the invading German Army, and the poor health of their mother, required to leave to be treated in a sanatorium. The two little Parisians discover life in the countryside during wartime, including occupation, Resistance, deprivation, but also life with friends (Wikipedia). I saw all of the episodes and the series is very good and little sad.

- Her mother makes teas as medicine and she sells them. Her father is a pharmaceutical chemist, so he was taken by Nazis for him to work pharmaceutical chemists for them;
- Hughette has two brothers: Jules (14 years old in 1939 and 20 years old in 1945) and Oscar (7 months old in 1939 and 6 years old in 1945);
- The reason Hughette rescues Fernand is that they made a promise that if he was captured by Nazis, she would rescue him because Hughette does not want to lose Fernand like her father;

- In 1942 or 1943, Hughette was shot by Nazis and they were going to kill her, but a nice lady saw her very badly, decided to take her to the hospital. The doctors managed to save Hughette, but she developed a serious infection that unfortunately she could not resist. Hughette was 14 or 15 years old when he died in 1942 or 1943;
- She had a diary that she wrote about her daily life. After her death, her family and her friends decided to publish a book about her called "Hughette's Great and Courageous Adventure: Rescue from the Impossible";
- In Grangeville, the tombs of Hughtette and Fernand are together because they were a couple.
