We made it to Edinburgh! What a stunning city... I’m in love already! I’m sad that we didn’t get to explore Dublin but I’m thankful that we managed a short time in the Library at Trinity College! The Long Room is rather magnificent and I’m rather envious of the high shelves and long ladders... every bookworm’s dream come true! This alcove was made for me - it even has my initials on it 😉 . The Long Room, Trinity College. This library was awe-inspiring! A long hall with spiral staircases filled with tall bookcases stacked with old books, rolling ladders to reach them, and lined with the busts of famous writers & scholars like Shakespeare and Aristotle. The Long Room

Today we did the hop on hop off tour riding through the city and getting to know our hood. The Long Room Is at Trinity College and was build in the 1700’s with over 6000000 books! People work tirelessly to restore the books and you can see them at work touching everything up. It so vast it really catches you by surprise and you can smell the old books. The old library also houses The Book of Kelly which is a manuscript of some chapters of the Bible done in the 800’s by some monks and is said to be Ireland’s greatest treasure. Couldn’t take any pics of it but it really was pristine for being that old.
