i was just... thinking about how wild r*nee’s halloween costume a looong time ago was. and how she really surpassed the ‘im an asshole on halloween’ threshold by, not only being a white girl in a chief/native american costume, but being a white girl in a BLOODY chief/native american costume. while, also, being in the world’s largest native american cemetery.
like no shit on her like im sure she’s grown and what not since then (even though she never apologized but instead said ‘people...wow’ but then again the argument did turn from ‘hey that costume is racist and shitty’ into ‘deAn DoEsN’T DeSeRvE YOu i dREam abOut Sucking DeAn’S DiCK #fuckdeanee’ which completely derailed the importance), but that was hands down the most shocking costume i’ve seen in a while. like, someone legitimately sat down and said ‘you know what? im gonna be someone else’s culture but put blood on it and make it look like i’ve been in a massacre! how totally not insensitive or totally illogical this idea is!’. just wild.
