Of course it wasn't a bad time, when was it ever a bad time for Jaejoong to have company?
Oh right. When he was at home alone in an artsy mood, drinking by himself and listening to depressing music while not wanting to be bothered.
But luckily this wasn't one of those times (it could have been but suddenly having company deflected the matter on a night he was worried that he otherwise didn't have plans for when he was feeling a touch of loneliness coming on), so Jaejoong didn't keep the door locked and fake that he was gone when Hyunjung came over. He definitely would have if he'd been in one of his moods.
Instead. Hyunjung gets a smiley Jaejoong who is all too happy for someone just as impolite as he when it comes to owning the space, acting the part of a confident tomcat and just sprawling about how they pleased. The two were alike in that, easily making friends and seeming so comfortable in social situations, and while Jaejoong knew a fair few of people who were somewhat like that, Hyunjung was one of the first that he thought truly thrived in it. The guy reminded Jaejoong of his hyung, the one he'd lived with after the army, but he didn't like putting that thought together, that opened too many other thoughts. There wasn't any helping the happy basking in the other's presence though when Hyunjung was suddenly plopped on his sofa.
Following after the younger, Jaejoong stops off to get another glass for the rum he'd opened for himself. It was common for the red wine to come out when he was feeling melancholy, as were the oil paints, but tonight he'd been sketching with pencil, nothing at all in particular but with the idea of his next tattoo swirling in the back of his mind. Putting aside the sketches, Jaejoong grins in a way that most people can't so no to, as he asks his question in return, instead of answering the former posed at him, while he hands Hyunjung the drink.
"How come you can't get in? Don't you have a key? Or did you do something to piss off your brother? Its okay if you wanted to come over too, you don't have to lie to me~"
