It was her birthday today ((starter))

Veronica sighed heavily as she walked out of the general store, a small bounty of money in her hands. She opened her leather satchel and dropped the bag of coins inside next to her leather bound sketchbook and pulled out a folded piece of paper. Using a pencil, she scratched off the last of her to-do list, crumpled it up and threw it over her shoulder as she descended the steps. She stopped in place and looked around, then took a seat on the porch of the building she had just left. The snow was still thick and falling heavily around her. She crossed her legs, using them like a desk for her sketch book. She took in the scene around her, and began sketching what she saw starting with the building in front of her.
