“If this is a booty call, I like your chances.”//Tyson/Lana
“Actually... no,” Lana told him. She understood how Tyson had come to that conclusion though, seeing as how she’d sent him a vague ‘come to my room’ text at three in the morning. “I was just going to force you to go to the hotel gym with me because I didn’t wanna go alone.” They had flown overseas the day before, and their entire group was still jetlagged. Lana knew Tyson would be awake, and he was usually willing to do stuff like that with her. “Hey, maybe afterwards though,” she suggested.

"You have a place in my heart that will always be yours.""The words don't come out right when you're right in front of me.""I want you to love me, but it's okay that you don't."//JJ/Bianca
"You have a place in my heart that will always be yours."
Bianca beamed at JJ, stretching her arms out to grab her friend and pull her in for a hug. “That’s one of the nicest things I’ve ever heard,” Bianca sighed happily, nuzzling her face into JJ’s shoulder. Josh always had sweet things to say to or about Bianca, so she should be used to hearing things like that, but she reacted the same way every time she received a compliment from someone she loved. “You have a place in my heart, too,” she told her. “A very big place. You’re so special to me.”
"The words don't come out right when you're right in front of me." / "I want you to love me, but it's okay that you don't."
"The words don't come out right when you're right in front of me."
Bianca frowned, scrunching her face up in confusion. “What are you talking about, JJ?” she asked. “You can tell me anything.”
She stayed silent after that, waiting for JJ to gather her thoughts and say what she needed to say. Something was twisting in Bianca’s in stomach, and she had no idea why she was nervous. Maybe because she assumed it wouldn’t be good. JJ never had much of an issue talking to Bianca. If she couldn’t get her words out now, Bianca couldn’t imagine what she had to say.
"I want you to love me, but it's okay that you don't."
Oh. That hadn’t at all been what she’d expected. “You love me?” she questioned softly, cautiously. Now she saw why it had been hard for JJ to say this to her.
No matter how many times Bianca was on this end of an unrequited love, she never knew how to let people down without feeling awful about it. She knew she couldn’t help how she felt, no one could, but it was still never easy. It hadn’t been easy with boys in the past, ending things with Jaime had nearly killed her, and now JJ... It was one thing rejecting a random person who asked her out, but it was different when it was one of her best friends.
“You know you’re one of the most important people to me...” Bianca started. “But, I...” She had tried not to say that dreaded word. Hearing ‘but’ always hurt, but there had to be one. “JJ, I’m in love with Riley...” That hadn’t been what she’d wanted to say, but it fell out of her mouth. It was probably no better than straight up telling JJ she didn’t have romantic feelings for her. Fuck, she was realizing it might have been worse. Telling her that she was, instead, in love with one of their friends. Fuck. “I’m so sorry.”
“You’re the only person I've ever pictured a future with.”/ Karla/Luke
Luke’s words felt bittersweet to Karla. It was nice knowing he’d imagined them having a future together, but it only reminded Karla that they never got their happy ending. She didn’t know how many girlfriends Luke had had since their break-up, nor did she particularly want to. But as sad as it was that her and Luke went their separate ways, she couldn’t help but feel special knowing she had meant something to him. “I bet this wasn’t the future you pictured, huh?” she asked. “Sure wasn’t the one I imagined...” She took a shy glance up at Luke, giving him a soft smile. Nothing, she realized, was set in stone. She learned that when her and Luke broke up, back when she thought they’d be together forever. Maybe she’d have the chance to learn it again, when she fully believed they were done for good. Everything changed and maybe this time things would change for the better.

mistletoe: muses are at a mutual friend’s party but don’t know each other and find themselves under the mistletoe.
Cameron wouldn’t consider himself one of the most festive people around. He wasn’t someone who counted down the days, and started listening to Christmas music in November, and decorated before Thanksgiving. But, he did enjoy Christmas. So of course he was looking forward to Steven’s Christmas party. He’d be looking forward to it regardless, because it was his best friend and a party, his two favorite things. But the Christmas element was still fun. He showed up earlier than everyone else, to help set things up, but within an hour of arriving, things were in full swing. He was already buzzed, having had a couple drinks while setting up. Despite most of the divas being there, Cameron still spent most of the evening with Stevie and Frankie. When he wasn’t with them though, he was putting in a little work with Alexa. He wasn’t sure where the night would take him, but if it was home with her, he wouldn’t be complaining.
The party was probably a lot crazier than Steven expected, and his place was full of people. Which was fun, but it made it harder to find people when you were looking for them. He couldn’t find his friend or his friend’s girlfriend anywhere. For a split second, he thought he had found Frankie, but as he got closer, he saw that it wasn’t her. Just someone who looked a lot like her. “Hey, Charlie,” he said, greeting Frankie’s twin sister. He was shouting a little to make himself heard over the music and the crowd. “You seen your sister or Steven anywhere?”
Charlie replied, but he only made out a word or two of it. “What’d you say?” he asked, this time leaning in a little closer so he could hear her better. But instead of hearing anything Charlie said, all he heard was Frankie shouting, “Ew! Charlie, please love yourself!” Of course he could hear Frankie’s loud mouth over everyone else, but not Charlie.
He turned and spotted her, and Stevie right behind her, approaching. “What are you-” he started to ask before he noticed Charlie looking upwards. He did the same and, oh. Mistletoe. “First of all, that was so rude,” he said, pointing a finger at Frankie, who still appeared disgusted at the thought of him kissing her sister. Then he looked at Charlie, raising an eyebrow in question. “We kinda have to, don’t we?” he asked, giving her a moment to say no before he leaned in. He pulled away after a few seconds, but only because he felt like he should. But not because he’d wanted to. He didn’t say anything at first, just stared down at her with a small smile on his face. That had been... unexpected, but not in a bad way. “Please let me know if you ever want to do that again.”
christmas miracle: muses have been trying to have a baby for a long time and finally find out they are expecting on christmas.
It had been awhile since Charlie had even taken another pregnancy test. It wasn’t like they’d lost hope, it was just so disappointing every time they took one and it was negative. They’d been trying and trying for a baby, but they weren’t having any luck. They both had known it wouldn’t be easy for Charlie to get pregnant, but that didn’t stop them from trying. Cameron and Charlie both so badly wanted a family together. They were both ready, and they weren’t going to give up. But Cameron would be lying if he said he wasn’t afraid it wouldn’t happen for them.
Since their jobs were crazy and they had ridiculous schedules sometimes, it wasn’t convenient for any of them to go back to their hometowns for the holidays. Instead, all four of them, Charlie, Cameron, Frankie and Stevie all stayed at Charlie and Cameron’s place in Florida. Their next show in a couple days was just a one hour drive, so it made sense. Plus, it worked out pretty well considering the four of them were a little family anyway. It was Christmas Eve, and after they’d all eaten dinner and hung out for awhile, they all went to bed relatively early, so they could get up for Christmas morning. When Cameron got out of the shower and made his way back to their bedroom, he found Charlie, getting sick. He rushed to her side, holding her hair for her as she threw up into the trashcan. His first thought was that the meal had been bad. But he felt fine, and Frankie and Stevie had seemed perfectly okay. His second thought was a more positive one. “Do you think you could be...?” he asked, too afraid to even say it out loud in fear he might jinx it.
They agreed that she might be, that it was always a possibility and Cameron snuck out of the house to go to the store to buy yet another test. It was already after midnight, and they’d all had a long day, so it didn’t surprise him much that when he got home, he found Charlie fast asleep. As much as he wanted to wake her up, he didn’t. Just stuck the test away and crawled into bed next to his wife. When he woke up, she was gone and so was the test. He bolted out of bed to go find her. She was in the kitchen, drinking tea with Frankie. “Merry Christmas, babe,” he said, grabbing her and kissing her. Knowing how close she was with Frankie, he was pretty sure she’d have told her, but he didn’t want to say something just in case she hadn’t. So he raised his eyebrows at her in question when his back was turned to Frankie. She shook her head no, which Cameron took in a number of ways and he didn’t know what she meant. No she hadn’t told Frankie. No she didn’t take the test. No she wasn’t pregnant. He hoped it wasn’t the last one. She didn’t look heartbroken like she often did after a test, so he had a good feeling it wasn’t.
Stevie joined them a moment later, and after they all had coffee or tea, they went to the Christmas tree. They opened their presents, but all Cameron could think about was Charlie and that test. Apparently, she felt the same way, because a few minutes after they’d finished with presents, he turned to her and she was gone. When he didn’t see her in the kitchen, he instantly knew she had gone to take the test. A few anxiety-filled minutes later, Charlie reappeared, pregnancy test in hand. Cameron stood. “It’s positive,” was all Charlie said before Cameron was grabbing her and hugging her. Behind them, Frankie and Stevie let out noises of surprise and happiness, but Cameron wouldn’t really hear what they were saying. “You’re pregnant,” he said, a little in shock himself. “Oh my God, we’re finally having a baby. Holy shit, Char. Holy shit, I love you so much.”
christmas tree: our muses will go either to buy a tree or chop one up themselves.
In years past, Josh and Bianca had settled for either a fake tree for the holidays, or none at all. Not because they weren’t festive - Bianca loved Christmas - but because they simply didn’t have the time to go get a real tree and then set it up and decorate it. It was too much of a hassle for something they wouldn’t even have much time to enjoy. This year was different though. They were getting a couple extra days off for Christmas, and while it wasn’t that much more time, it was enough for Bianca. She decided that during the couple of days they’d be home that first week of December, they would go get a tree. Bianca had heard of people going to chop their own trees, but that didn’t sound very appealing to her. And she knew she’d be forcing Josh to do it, and she didn’t want to do that. Going and picking one out was much easier. “My mom and dad never let me help pick the tree,” she mentioned as her and Josh walked through the lot of trees. “My dad would just always bring one home randomly one day. So, I’m not sure what we should be looking for exactly.” All she knew was that the tree would be going in a small area of their living room, so they couldn’t get a huge one. She turned to Josh. This choice might rest solely on him. Decorating though, Bianca would be all about that. She never got to decorate the tree as a kid either. According to her mom, Bianca ruined their simple and beautiful tree by randomly throwing on cute ornaments and wanting to put colorful lights on it. Her homemade ornaments that she made in school never made the cut either.
“I don’t really care which one we get,” she said. “Because they all smell the same. It’s great.” She all but shoved her face into one of the trees, breathing in the scent. It smelled like Christmas. Bianca hadn’t been the biggest Christmas person growing up, but as she got into her early twenties she really started to love and appreciate it. “Oh, I said I didn’t care, but this one looks nice!” she said, running over to a beautiful tree. It looked like just the perfect size, too. “I can already imagine all our presents under there.” She grinned up at Josh. “Yay or nay?”
furry holidays: muses find a furry friend at their door during one of the coldest days of the year.
Tampa wasn’t exactly known for having cold weather, so when Bianca woke up one morning to hear the weatherman say that it was in the 30s that day, she was prepared to freeze to death. She’d always lived in places that were mostly hot and dry, and she’d never been a fan of the cold. The day was spent primarily in her bed, covered in blankets, or on the couch drinking coffee and hot chocolate with Josh. She didn’t even dare venture outside until she opened the door to get the mail. She had just grabbed their mail from the mailbox when she noticed something sitting on their porch. It was a thin, white cat with brown spots on it’s face and tail. It was huddled up under their porch chair. “Josh,” Bianca said, not too loud because she didn’t want to scare the cat off.
When Josh arrived at her side, she made room so he could get in the doorway and see what she had found. “It’s a cat,” she told him, as if he couldn’t tell. On any other day, Bianca would be tempted to scoop it up in her arms and bring it inside with her. But especially today, when it was so cold. “It’s going to freeze to death out here,” she said. “Look at it, hiding under the chair, probably desperate for warmth. That’s so sad.” She looked up at Josh with wide eyes, silently begging him and asking if they could bring it in. Josh might have looked like a big, bad man, but Bianca knew he was as soft as she was. Slowly, she took a step outside, closer to the cat. When she reached out to grab it, it didn’t try to run. It only meowed as she picked it up and held it to her chest, keeping it warm as she brought it inside with her and Josh.
“Hi, baby,” she said softly, holding it with one arm and using her free hand to pet it. The cat didn’t look sick or in too bad shape, but it was pretty thin, and didn’t look the cleanest. “It’s not wearing a collar or anything,” she pointed out to Josh. “Do you think they’re a stray, or a runaway?” Bianca’s money would be on the latter, but maybe she was just hopeful. She’d always wanted a cat. The cat was surprisingly calm in her arms, allowing her and Josh to pet it and take a closer look at her. “We’ll get you some food and water,” she said, her baby voice back in action. “And we’ll get you nice and warm, okay, sweetie?” They had no cat food, but they had plenty of deli meats in the fridge and Bianca was pretty sure there was a can of tuna in the cabinets. That would do until they got to the store. Not that they’d for sure be keeping the cat, but Bianca wasn’t planning on letting it go if she could help it.
