I have learnt to trust when I stall on finishing a painting and to not let my logical mind dominate and over ride the painting process, the timing and the journey of a painting. Some pieces have work to do in the world. And this work in progress of this beautiful beautiful girl is one of those pieces. The painting has pre sold to a lovely lady who came through on the first day of open studios. Upon seeing the painting she became very emotional and teary, deeply connecting with the painting. She came back today to talk about her response to the painting. I trust the power of art, of painting, of people. Much work, healing and connection going on in the unseen world.
