Pamela looked up at Wade, her eyes filled with tears. One hand remained on her head, the other moving to his shoulder. "It hurts. Wade...it burns." Her hand moved down so she could clutch his shirt, wrinkling it in her grasp.

Pamela is head over heels in love with Wade. She wasn't sure if she was truly capable of it, as the last time she had loved someone, she was emotionally and physically used. But now that she has fallen for Wade, she couldn't imagine what would happen if anything happened to him.
