Another prophecy? They might not all be true.
aaravos having the same arrogance he hated in the first elves who were so convinced that any variance from destiny / the cosmic order was worth executing a child in cold blood for, because aaravos is likewise crafting and enforcing destinies over other people, which is why killing his and viren's child is okay, because sir sparklepuff was made to die; his destiny was already written.
After all, it was not the humans' choice to have been born without magic.

Having Callum buy into a pre-ordained prophecy (i.e. destiny) because of his desire to help Rayla while simultaneously being willing to break away from it likewise because of her (and her empathy / hunch towards Esmeray) is sick and twisted, lemme tell you

"i get to choose who i want to be" -> "you'll be the you that can save her" -> "this is the destiny i choose"
Will be slotting this into a bigger meta at one point but I love how we immediately start picking apart the prophecy, even when we don't really know what it is yet.
"The Warrior and the Mage shall pierce the heart of the beast and melt the threat forever. The Chosen Two will reclaim the heavens and in return, the heavens will adorn them."
We, thanks to the Celestial elves, likewise assume that 1) the warrior and the mage have to show up together and 2) that the adornment of the heavens are, well, the Corona of the Heavens. However, given the Silver Queen teaser gives us the alternative interpretation that Claudia is The Mage and Rayla is The Warrior, who arrive and melt Esmeray's heart separately, it opens the prophecy arguably wholly back up: the reclamation of the heavens is still on the table, what the adornment may be is unknown (though it could be Magic), and the beast may not refer to Esmeray at all (but perhaps Aaravos). Just something to think about
