What do you think? Do I keep all of them? Are there any I should kick out? I’m running thin on color ideas, clearly.
So, all of these are “3-color” presets. I know some of them appear to have 4 colors, but that is where I tried to get cute and do 50/50 overlays of 2 colors. What do you think?
To the left is the original oar that I appropriated from the University Life (or seasons?) wall deco. I liked how it came out, but it’s not really the right profile for a surf oar based on what I’ve seen. I wasn’t really sure I could fix it, but I figured what the heck. Give it a go. What’s the worst that could happen? And YAY! It worked out! So I figured... why stop there, why not the double-ended one too??? Neale is just there for scale reference.
(And somewhere along the line I realized I hadn’t done a plumb bob... So yeah... all the surfboards got one, as well as the paddles.)
The oar has already been turned into an accessory. Just need to do the new paddles.
I think I finally have all of my “punch list” items sorted out on all the boards and paddles (finally!) and can maybe start thinking about poses again.
That is about the best I can get for waves and I had to use fog emitters to even get that much. I’m not sure how fancy the surf poses are actually going to get beyond the basics of paddling out and gliding in. Definitely not going to get any sort of pipes. But then I was really only planning on more of a “sufing/beach party” kind of thing...
Anyway, there is a seriously half-baked (5 min hack job) set. Totally wrong car though. I just don’t have the right car in game yet.
Okay... well, ignoring that it’s hovering in space (that’s intentional atm) and that the UV scale between the rails and the deck are completely out of synch.... Not bad for a noob?!? (Completely from scratch mesh, not an alter of the existing board - I learned some sh*t today).
I think that is closer to a classic 60′s long board profile. Aside from obvious technical issues, I’m thinking the fin needs to be bigger. I made the deck on this one pretty flat, unlike the bowed shape the other 2 have. It has a slight curve at the tail and nose, but it’s subtle. It’s hard to tell from old photos, but I think the decks were pretty flat from what I’ve seen but I’m thinking it needs a tiny bit more curve??
Keeping in mind the intent here is for a classic 60′s board, not a modern board custom built for a gargantuan actor... Any critiques on styling there? (Or technical issues).
If I continue down this road... I’m likely not going to make the MTS theme catchup deadline (which I’d be pushing anyway even without the new board).
Now with 2 sizes of stands. Also, in case you are up a creek, here are some paddles (2 ACC and 3 deco) and the lying boards now have slots).
Something is going on with that chomped board, cuz it shouldn’t be black around the chomp like that. “Should” be an easy fix.
I did not do a kajillion presets on the paddles like the boards. I did just the 5 shown.
Anyway... I think it is now just a matter of touch-ups maybe... (This would go A LOT faster if stupid TSRW didn’t crash constantly. Well, and if I also didn’t keep getting distracted and losing track of what I’m doing...)
I’m getting to that phase in the process where I’m running out of steam. Things are getting tedious and my attention span is stretched to its breaking point. One minute, I’m all “Eee! Look what I did” and then I’m doubting that these things are all that good...
I really need a set.. I have a couple of specific vignettes I have in mind involving either that old Dr. Pepper “seaside ride” and/or a particular 1960′s car that Fresh Prince has. But uuuuuughhhh. Building. Just not feeling it.
I’m still waiting on opinions on which of my hooman, adult, male, non-celebrity models (except Jonah and Harlan).

The “Hang 9.5 Surfboard” (Part 2)
I give you the lying versions - fins up and down, and chomped versions. Also there are longboard versions.
NOTE: These are geared to be even with the ground, I just stuck them on OMSP to raise them up. I wanted them to (potentially) work for poses on water. We shall see. I’m not on a lot with water access yet.
And.... there are 20 presets now. There are the last 2 not previously shown.
(Does anyone know if anyone has ever updated that sawhorse to have slots?)

<RANT>That surfboard won’t go on a OMSP. What even?? Also... Would prefer a “longboard” , but this is the only lying flat surfboard I could find). SO. This is a problem. I managed to get the thing raised with MisuKisu’s decorator’s best friend, BUT... that download is now buried behind ad.fly AND when I tested it myself, my malware blocker blocked the link... SO, can’t make my poses dependent on that. So what to do, what to do...</RANT>
