“Please tell me I’m in some weird freaky alternate universe.”

“I’m not suppose to do a lot of stuff but you want to play ball?”
@themechcnic
“Tony, look...you’ve had a lot of ideas, some crazy, but most of them revolutionary. But is this really the most efficient way for the team to go about disposing our trash? Connecting them all to one big incinerator just seems like a fire hazard waiting to happen.”

▼ Tony was, momentarily, sure it was the bassline of his music that was causing a not-so-small tremor in the framework of the Tower—he might’ve had it turned up a skosh loud—but he quickly called for JARVIS to kill the AC/DC only to feel the building continue to quake under his feet.
“Oh, shit,” he said, hurrying to look out the tall, floor-to-ceiling windows for a cause. Don’t let it be aliens again. Don’t let it be aliens again. Don’t let it be aliens again.
“Eloquent as always, sir,” JARVIS said. “But I believe the source of the vibration is centered in the lounge on the ninety-eighth floor. It seems to be some sort of unknown energy source.”
“Another alien portal?” he asked, already heading for the stairs.
“The energy signature is entirely different, sir,” JARVIS said, very unhelpfully.
Tony took the stairs two at a time and by the time he got to the lounge, his suit was waiting for him at the top of them. It formed around him as he ran.
The last vestiges of sparkling blue crackles of energy could be seen out on the terrace—as well as a person.
Tony stepped through the open passage that led onto the terrace, his repulsors raised at the ready—in case it was Loki again, or someone else unpleasant.
“You’ve got to a count of three to get your hands where I can see them,” he said.

“Um. Hello.”
