Windy day that one, with squawking seagulls dancing through the various ship’s masts, shouting sailors unloading and restocking their goods, and mothers, fathers, families rejoicing in the return of their loved ones. A lot of people, a lot of galleons. Absent-mindedly looking at the overall scene taking place at the harbour, Ayla was just passing by, her intended destination being the town just over the hills. Until she saw it.
Abruptly stopping on her track, one foot hanging in mid-air and waiting to be put on the ground, the mercenary widened her eyes in complete awe at one of the most beautiful ships she had ever gazed at: a gigantic skull covering half of the deck, rib bones hugging the hull, and even something resembling fangs? Claws?
Promptly regaining her composure, she trotted towards the ship, stopping just merely meters away, and stretched her neck to see if she was able to spot the crew. No harm could come from asking, right? She just wanted to look (well, maybe take some measurements and pictures too…) [//sorry it got long D: hope it is ok!]
Being as notoriously ruthless as Kid and his crew were had its perks. One of the biggest upsides definitely had to be getting supplies dirt cheap, or even free. The less he had to put towards restocking food and maintenance supplies, the more he could spend elsewhere, like booze and weapons. Sometimes he'd have to force his way into the shops, seeing as they'd close their doors the minute his ship came into the dock, but that wasn't such a big deal for Kid. Let them be terrified little shits.
With a massive haul getting lugged by his crew behind him, Kid was in high spirits. He'd even already broken into the massive score of liquor they managed to get from the local tavern. A bottle of bourbon hung from his loose, two-finger grip around the neck, a shit eating grin spread wide across his lips as his ship came back into view.
Beautiful vessel she was, as horrifying as the crew who rode on her, just how Kid liked it. It seemed someone else had taken a liking to his ship as well, seeing as once he was close enough he could make out a feminine figure down on the docks, staring up in what he could only assume was awe. If Kid had to take a guess, she looked about ready to jump aboard, and that wouldn't do, even if he did have a couple of his crew hanging back as watch.
❝ Oi! ❞ Kid called out, voice booming. He didn't feel there was a need to use his powers. Yet. ❝ The hell you think you're doin'?! Climbin' aboard my ship probably isn't in yer best interest, girlie. ❞
