I BROKE THE THEME!

So I thought that my problem was the installing of the plugin, but, after some pantheon switching and reverting, I realized that the plugin wasn’t compatible with the theme in the worst way. 

As a noob, it pays to remember that if it says that it’s not tested with the current version of WP, then it has a 50/50 chance of messing up your entire everything.

So....thankfully I’ve restored the site without having to destroy a lot of work. I will now back up my files and proceed to complete the site with a new, yet similar theme. It’s actually a better theme - it has more customization abilities and is made by the same company, ThemeZee.
