I woke up and there it was, hanging inches from my face. The key. It was a small wooden key with an inscription on the side. It certainly wasn’t in english. I couldn’t tell what language it was. I snatched it from the air to give it a closer look. The pin of the key looked quite odd, like someone had carved it with a butter knife. I looked around the room, which I was soon to discover, was not my bedroom. There were three doors on the wall in front of me. The first one, a wooden door, looked like the kind of door you’d see on the front of a storybook, the masterful carving of the designs were just so hard to believe that a person actually carved such a beautiful creation. The second door, a metal thing, had none of the grace or finesse of the first one, it looked like the door to an industrial freezer. The third door didn’t even look real, it looked like it had been painted on the wall for decoration. I got out of the bed and checked to see if any of the doors were open. As I had expected, none of the doors would budge. I attempt to use the wooden key in the first one’s keyhole, but the key’s too big. I then put the key in the second door’s hole, it fits! I open the door and behind it was a brick wall. No way in. I then try the key in the third door. To my surprise the brightly coloured stripes of the wall glided inward and I let myself wander in. It’s a lush green forest with lovely flowers and fauna. I turn around to see the door had disappeared, leaving me with just the key. I put the key in my pocket for now as I start walking towards the sound of rushing water.
