Every time that you get on social media there’s a 99% chance you’ll see a name of a band that you’ve never listened to before. New bands pop up every single day! Here are five bands that I deem important and think you should check out. Each of these bands have fire and passion behind what they’re doing. I know you’ll appreciate the lyrics that you hear.
1. The Millenium
If you know me, this band being the very first is not surprising in any way. The Millenium comes out of Wisconsin and is arguably one of the best live bands I’ve seen to date. Their music is guaranteed to make you dance, make you smile, make you cry, make you enjoy the very moment you are in.
Favorite lyrics: “Are we both blind? No it’s plain as day to see, I don’t care about our history I care about you and me.”
2. A Will Away
If you haven’t seen the name “A Will Away” on your social media feeds you’re following the wrong set of people. Possibly one of the most talked about bands of 2017, this Connecticut band is making a name for themselves. And boy do they deserve it.
Favorite Lyrics: “Don’t let the poison that surrounds you, stifle out the life you wanna live.”
3. Grayscale
Pennsylvania has given us many amazing bands to be thankful for, but Grayscale is something else. I had seen their name pop up all over Twitter and all over tour posters for some time, but I mistakenly never really listened to the band. After their release of Adornment, everything changed.
Favorite Lyrics: “If I ever see you again, I’d ask for my time back, and if I ever see you again I’d want you to know that I was alone adrift, no I couldn’t be more over it.”
4. Sleep On It
Sleep On It have made their name in their Chicago scene, that’s for sure. Their talent has brought them many amazing opportunities which include a USA tour with As It Is. A solid pop punk band includes songs that you can yell at the top of your lungs, and many of their songs qualify. Top notch talent and top notch guys.
Favorite Lyrics: “There’s a buzz in my head from what you never said”
5. Like Pacific
In the past few weeks I’ve been listening to more and more of “Distant Like You Asked” and I’m impressed. The energy and passion in these songs are so real and raw. As I’ve gone over a song I hear a new line in a different light than I did before. Passion is what it takes, and I think you should all give them a chance.
Favorite Lyrics: “You don't think before you speak and your interests are not for me. But I'm so alone I need to receive some attention I've been paid”

I never want to see you again You're just like any other sin I cover up with a grin The barrier wears thin. Check out the millenium. They have great music and lyrics and they're songs are pretty up beat and fun to jam out to.
