Take a look at our library lending rules from 1964, courtesy of former librarian Mrs. Margaret Pantermuehl. “Fiction may be borrowed for a two-weeks period, with no renewal allowed. Reference works, folios and atlases may not be borrowed, but vertical file materials may be borrowed for a one-week period on a call slip. Records may be let out for overnight use, only.”
