There’s actually a yoseikan budo gym in my town (Lyon) and it’s an art I like very much. I actually posted about it a few days ago !
I find it very interesting, it’s a very complete style and I like the championships having full protective gear and a pretty wide ruleset allowing for a lot of things.
One of the guys from my savate club actually has anecdotes on yoseikan that I love : before savate, he was a jujutsu black belt and once had a yoseikan teacher come to his dojo to share techniques. He recalls the guy blocked a high kick BY TRAPPING HIS LEG BETWEEN HIS HEAD AND HIS SHOULDER and subsequently sweeping the other leg. I want to see that in person someday !
