I have some content work in progress that I am super excited about because I think the set came out really well but I need to finish my writing for it. So have a lil sneek peak of these two dad's sneakily being in love in the corner of a staircase in Ishgard. 💖

     “ vivo! there you are! ”    grinning, gabi turned her attention to her simian friend, moving to adjust her glasses on her nose, before eagerly gesturing for him to come and join her.    “ you gotta come check this out. i’ve been workin’ on somethin’ new for our show, and just wait ‘til you hear it. it’s BOOM -- got the energy, and CHA! got the rhythm! ” she threw her hands outwards to the side, clearly enthusiastic about what she’d managed to come up with. she’d gotten.. well.. a LITTLE bit better with music lately, not that she’d let any progress stop her from enjoying it anyway. 

      “ are you ready for this? i SO don’t think you’re ready for this -- but you’re gonna have to be! ”   gripping her phone tightly with one hand, she used the other to eagerly grab hold of vivo’s paw, pulling him over towards their boombox setup, practically VIBRATING with excitement.

              PATCHING UP WOUNDS // @fortrauma

              His words were often like this, the way they came across in such a blunt and monotonous way. Like that of a scolding parent, a superior with little patience for someone as witty as he. Complete and total opposites, in that regard, much like the moon and the sun in their respective places in the sky- one bringing light, while the other chased it away. Yet the sun could not live without the moon, nor could a knight be without his squire. After all, every good story, every good hero needed someone at his side to be the voice of reason- and Leon was just that person for him. 

              Why he could not bring himself to be upset at his request, for down inside he knew there was a heart of gold hidden behind a stern façade. The good cop, the hero through and through. No matter how the world destroyed him, somehow he still found compassion in his work. He could have left him, after all, refused his help and found a way without him- but he stayed, helped even, maybe knowing that down inside, he wouldn’t make it on his own. The wound he kept hidden was only evidence of this assumption, trying to keep it covered in hopes he wouldn’t worry him, or see him as dead weight and press on without him. Yet the man was smarter than that, a keen eye and quick to smell blood. Lying would only make it worse between them, why, despite the pinched expression on his face, the crease in his brow showing hesitancy, he offered his arm to him. 

              It happened quickly within their battle, the sheer rush of adrenaline having numbed the pain up until now. The rain had not stopped, leaving them tucked away within a run down house on the outskirts of the village. Serenity, for the time being, and with it the aches and pains of battle creeping up on him like a cold that would settle into the bones. Somewhere within their fight he’d been snagged, be it a kitchen knife or cleaver he wasn’t certain, all he knew was that the glint of a knife had come for him, and all he could do was embrace the blow. Forearm twitched and spasmed as the inside of his coat felt sticky and damp, shrugging off the leather to reveal a blood stained button up, elbow down soaked in blood. 

              “It doesn’t feel as bad as it looks, I can manage.” Yet the more he looked at it, the more the sting began to set in, as if his mind was finally catching up with his body, his hand slightly trembling as it clenched into a fist. “I’ve been through a lot worse, and it’ll take a whole lot worse to stop me from fighting. You don’t have to worry about me, Leon, I promise you that.”
