Tsuki has died (that is vengence for everytime you broke my heart with stupid tsundere >< )
“…..has died.” finish it in my ask.
Mikoto could still hear the rumble of thunder in the distance, sounding like laughter, mocking him. They probably were. Not that he cared much at the moment. His blurry eyes were still fixed on his hands and the blood on them. So much blood…
There wasn’t even enough strenght left in his lungs to scream anymore. He just laid there, slumbed against one of Top’s claws. They were cold, freezing even. But he had long stopped feeling the icy shivers running down his spine and slowly numbing his body. That didn’t matter anyway. Not at the moment at least.
Weak. Weak. Weak… weak… weakweakweakweak…
“Human.” Top’s voice sounded loud, echoing around the clearing that was otherwise silent like a grave. There had been so much fighting here not so long ago. “Mikoto…”
Again, Top received no answer. Moving his head a bit to look down at his partner, his red eyes narrowed slightly when he didn’t immediately noticed if the human was still with him or if he had actually passed out, or worse died. It was only after a very long moment that he could actually make out the slow rising and falling of the other one’s chest, indicating that he was at least still alive. Those breaths sounded shallow, not quite like sobs. No, his human had long stopped crying, stopped screaming. Just stopped everything. Though, if one would bother to look closely, they could make out the not yet dried trails of tears, mingling with his own blood from a cut on his right cheek.
Thinking that he wouldn’t get any sort of answer anytime soon, Top lifted his head and gazed up to the dark clouds and the flashes of lightning dancing inside them. He had his own reasons not to like thunder and lightning and rain too much, but he guessed he could now add a few more reasons to that list. For one, he was wet now, having tried to shield his distraught partner from the heavy rain as best as he could with his body. If only he had been here sooner. But flying through a thunderstorm wasn’t the best of ideas. No matter how fast he was, if the weather was controlled by someone it would only end one way for him. And he really didn’t want to add another loss to his partner’s list. Not that it would’ve made much of a difference, he suspected. He had never seen the human like that. Heard yes, but never seen it with his own two eyes. It was as if the life had vanished from those dark brown eyes he could never read completely. It wasn’t like before, in that other life. No, this was entirely different. It was as if a part of the other had died too. It made Top feel cold, much colder than the rain or any ice could ever make him feel. It made his heart ache, asking himself if his own demise would make his partner react like that. If he was honest, part of him was afraid of the answer.
Another shallow intake of breath pulled Top out of his thoughts, and it took him a moment longer than he liked to realize that Mikoto had actually called his name. It sounded so gentle. Weird. There was still that broken sound to it, but it sounded definitely gentle and not as angry as he had suspected it to sound.
“Top…” Mikoto asked again, eyes still fixed on his hands. He could feel Top move slightly behind him. His body not yet completely gone numb from the cold rain. It would soon feel warm again, scorching hot from the rage that was currently building up inside him, though didn’t dare to let free yet. No, he would need all that energy soon.
“Top… would you come to hell with me one more time?” For the first time, Mikoto tore his eyes away from his hands and gazed up into Top’s concerned eyes. The pterosaur tilted his head a bit to the side, not fully understanding were his partner was going with this. “Don’t worry, I can destroy that boulder myself… I’ll destroy anything in my path…” There was something like a smile slowly working its way on his face. Top was taken aback when he saw it. That… wasn’t normal. It would have made his skin crawl if he had any.
Mikoto was chuckling a little by now as he slowly got back to his unsteady and slightly shaky feet. It sounded cold and terrifying, almost like all those times in the past when he was about to start a new game. His powers were still carefully kept under wraps, so he wouldn’t lose any of that precious energy. He wouldn’t explode now, he couldn’t.
“I told you in the past that I’ll be with you, Mikoto. Hope or depair. I’ll go with you. Anywhere.”
“Oh, this isn’t despair, Top. I might throw away my humanity, but not out of despair.” The chuckle had turned into full-blown laughter by now. Eyes shimmering with a crazy glimmer in them. “They’ll hand over Tsuki to me.” There was a sharp intake of breath as if Mikoto had trouble to keep his emotions under control when he said the god’s name, his voice cracking. “They shall pay dearly for this.“ His voice suddenly turning bitter, growling deeply as if he was in AbareMode. “My anger… my rage… my hatred… They have now reached their peak!” Mikoto balled his left hand into a tight fist, a soft glow simmering under the man’s skin as electric bolts started to come out of his DinoMinder.
