Well, I can finally unmute the critical role tags and catch up on all the side stuff I missed.

I'm just gonna be over here in my cups about it for a while. That's all.

"Why do you care?" Arms are uncrossed, he regards the other with sharp amber hues. "You have no reason to care."

"You have no reason to care."

That much was true. Anyone who knew of their previous history of violence and hunting one another down and attempted murders would question exactly why Dan Heng would still be by Blade's side in any capacity; and not only be there willingly, but seek it out when opportunities arose. But it was so much more complicated than that, so much more involved than simply seeing Blade as a mara struck murderer who only had one purpose left in his miserable life besides seeking out a way to die and killing the reincarnation of the man that used to be his everything.

It was all lingering effects of decisions made so many years ago. The aggressive thoughts and feelings Blade experienced when the mara hit particularly hard were not his own. Them being able to not only come to a truce but form a relationship that paralleled that of Dan Feng and Yingxing, but was still their own as Blade and Dan Heng, was proof that Blade still had autonomy and feelings that were not all murderous.

So with all those thoughts crossing his mind in a matter of seconds, the shorter wordlessly reached out for Blade's right hand and carefully eased the fabric of his sleeve up so more reddened bandages were visible and he could just as carefully begin unwinding them and letting the bandages fall to the ground. Seeing the way his skin was marred and bloodied and irritated from the mara had Dan Heng wincing internally; he couldn't sympathize with how the mara left Blade constantly in pain, but he could understand that it was overwhelming for the Stellaron Hunter at the worst of times.

Blue eyes fell shut and a golden light emanated from Dan Heng's hands as they carefully covered as much of the wounds on Blade's hand and wrist as they could, and as the golden light began to grow brighter light blue horns materialized up, ears changed shape and hair lengthened as the cloudhymn magic flowed from the Vidyadhara's body into Blade's.

It was by no means a permanent fix, if it could be then Dan Heng would have used his own powers to rid Blade of the mara shortly after the truce was called and this would not still be a problem. It was a short term solution to heal the skin and temporarily alleviate the pain coursing through his body. Fingers grazed underneath Blade's sleeve to send the cloudhymn magic further up his arm, and eyes opened once again as the same fingers trailed down along Blade's before Dan Heng's gaze lifted up to meet the others.

It was a subtle thing, Dan Heng's fingers tightening around Blade's freshly healed as he spoke, almost as if he wasn't aware he was doing so, but the way he refused to let go even when he was done the healing was proof that the former high elder knew exactly what he was doing. "Because I don't want you to die."

God going through an 11 year old RP blog of mine and sifting through all those old headcanons for Ema was a fucking wild ride tbh. My writing style for fleshing out muses was so different and so much more basic back then and it’s kinda sad to me that I didn’t even carry over half the hc posts from Ema’s old solo blog simply bc the headcanons were so mundane and random that I couldn’t think of a good way to elaborate on them to match how I write headcanon posts now. It feels so pretentious about my own blog but also nostalgic at the same time bc I was such a newbie rp’er back in 2011 and having Ema on here now over a decade later is surreal in a way. 

But now that Ema’s are all migrated over too I think I’m just gonna play Legends Arceus for the rest of the night until I’m ready to go to bed. I’ll save Momo and Bakugou’s headcanon migrations for tomorrow. Promise it’ll hopefully only be one more day of me doing all this and then I’ll stop spamming the dash with a shitload of them from me.
