Yeah, its really hard to do Full-on Nano during School. Funnily enough the only time I completed it was during my first year at Cal where I wrote a NCIS fanfic (Still haven't posted it). Since then however November was crazy month.
However, there are alternatives if you still want to be apart of the Nano fever. I tried half-strength nano once (trying to write 25,000 words). Another time I just choose another month to do it.
I'm determined that this year, since I am no longer in school, and as of yet have no job (baring volunteer work I'm starting next week) I shall suceed at Nano.
Part of me really wants to write the Persephone one, a story I've been working on for years), but on the other hand, As I try to sort out characters, and get research to add little character quirks relating to their myths, I'm finding I have so much more to research. Particularly about Non-european mythologies.
I have Isis and Bast from Egypt but I also wanted to incorporate Asian mythological characters although so far the ones I've been finding still seem to part of alot of the modern religion and I'm trying to avoid that.
