Hello! I hope everything is going great! :) I have a muse that is an Arab Muslim, and I wanted to know if it's okay for me to not use a Arab Muslim fc? Also could you direct me towards some good blogs or sites that can help me with the development of the muse's religion? I want to know how can I approach it realistically and there is so much information I am not entirely sure where to start my research on the Islam. Thank you very much in advance!

Hey anon! I’d suggest sending this to @themuslimrpc​ as they’d be far better at answering this than us - they even have a guide here for how to write a Muslim character for non-Muslims! Hey Hales you are Muslim right? Would it be possible to pick your brain about Islam? I'd like to play a turkish face claim and wanted to know if it would be considered insensitive to make him non-practicing?

aah, i am in fact muslim and i’m totally 10000% here for you using me as a source! as a disclaimer though, i’m one person meaning i may not have all the answers and certainly can’t speak for all muslims. with that being said i don’t think it would be insensitive to have your character be non-practicing?? though please keep in mind that islam is basically the main religion in Turkey & like 99.8% of the population practices it. 

so even if your character doesn’t consider himself apart of the religion it’s very likely that he would have been raised in a household where it was practiced?? 

honestly i’d have to know more about the character and his background to really be able to tell you if anything is insensitive but like just him non-practicing i assure you isn’t! if you’d like an example of a non-practicing muslim in the media zayn malik is a good one. during his x-factor days he was more religious and then as time went on became less so?? and a couple weeks ago i think he did an interview where he stated he wasn’t practicing anymore.

@candiceaccolas okay. so i have a lot to say about kelly. so strap yourselves in. kelly is an angel ?? a god given gift to this fucking shit hole we call home. she’s so considerate, loving and over all just a pleasure to be around and talk to ? when i was going through a rough time in my life, where i was hospitalized and was mentally very unstable i literally told kelly over the tumblr, we talked a bit on the phone ( i believe if i remember correctly ? i was v tired lol ) and then i told her the whole story. she told me that she’d always be there for me and i’ll never forget that even if she has. which is okay bc it was very late at night lol. but she cares so deeply and really won’t show it off the bat but once you get to really settle down and know her, she’s one of those lifelong best friends. she’s one of mine and i’m glad to call her such and to say that. she will always be thought of happily in my thoughts and heart and i honestly just wish she’d STOP GETTING SO MUCH HATE !!! anyways, kelly, if you’re reading this, please know how much you’re loved, my ostrich sock !
