New reviews on my fic give me life! And it’s cool to see how people (other than my always observant editor) are starting to notice things. ^^
I’m also glad that someone finally expressed concern for Law’s well-being, because that IS a major issue there. I was starting to worry that maybe I didn’t make it clear enough. Although, considering Corazon’s condition, it’s no wonder if the readers would be so focused on him that they wouldn’t notice that Law might also be in trouble... But Cora-san has started noticing it too - that maybe Law shouldn’t be doing so much. I bet he’s gonna feel guilty if something were to happen to Law because he’s used up all of his energy / stamina to heal him (and to talk with him).. But of course I wouldn’t let anything bad happen to them, would I?! ;P
There is one more thing that people may be overlooking, something else that could become a problem later on. But whether someone notices it or not, I’ll throw it out there in the fourth chapter or so. So far I haven’t really hinted at it much, but people that are trying to figure out the potential solutions coming in the future could possibly also see the problem in those solutions. If not, you’ll see - eventually. xD
Right now my brain is being cooked by this heatwave that’s making it hard to focus on reading a fic, let alone writing one, so it might take a while before I can get back at it. But I’m glad to see the readers are enjoying it so far!
me: let's see BuzzFeed Unsolved!
buzzfeed Unsolved: The Chilling Exorcism of Anneliese Michel.
me: what about no.
//Bucky was practically raised on an army base. Certain skills and proclivities were noticed, and some people he trusted began grooming him from his teenage years to become a part of a highly secretive black ops operation when he came of age. And, well, if he happened to enlist before that, well, lots of kids were lying about their age on those enlistment forms. One more slipping through the cracks wouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Thing is, after several years of training and prep, Bucky decided he didn’t want this, whatever it was they were pushing him towards. Everything and everyone he cared about was right there in Brooklyn. So he made his wishes known, and thought that was that.
He thought he could walk away.
Then he was drafted, and found himself recruited for the very thing they had been preparing him for. He often thought that seemed a little too convenient.
He went on several missions before he was captured by Hydra and rescued by Steve.
He followed orders. He did things over there that he never told anybody about, even Steve-- never over mission parameters, but very, very rarely under them. He still had his conscience, his sense of right and wrong, and his utter loathing of bullies, but he found it becoming harder and harder to hold to his ideals within the hellish landscape of what had begun to feel like perpetual war. Not all of his guilt-ridden nightmares are about his time as the Winter Soldier. Some of them are just about plain old Bucky Barnes, war hero extraordinaire.
Hey guess who is writing? Me.
ok now that i actually have icons that don’t make me wince, i’m gonna work on replies and memes.
I'm gonna comb through my stuff and tag them better.
