Where are you isolated?

in my family’s home in texas

What are you currently reading or watching?

i just watched true history of the kelly gang, and i’ve been reading just about every 1917, george mackay, or dean charles chapman fanfic i can get my hands on! i read @marionettefthjm ‘s fic Tom’s History With the Schofield Gang most recently, and i’ve reread it about four times in the last twelve hours or so, it’s that good, so go check it out!!

If you can go outside, what do you like to do during this time?

i’ve played catch with my brother and dad a few times which is really fun for me, but i’ve also taken advantage of the sunshine when it’s there to sit outside on the grass and look off into the middle distance while i listen to music (i’d say that’s just as fun and soothing for the soul)

Any fascinating concept you’re studying?

i’m taking a class called police in a free society and i find it incredibly interesting. just yesterday we learned about stress in police work and its impact on officers

What kind of acts of creativity/forms of art are you currently doing?

i don’t have much artistic ability in a traditional sense, but i’d like to think i’m a decent writer, so i stick to that. i admittedly haven’t written as much as i want, but the piece i’m working on right now is a bit stuck and i’m trying to figure out where i want to go with it next

A song that resonates with your state of mind at the moment?

i’ve had “been too long” stuck in my head for days, but i don’t know that it depicts my state of mind, so maybe something from the playlist on spotify i’ve been listening to called “songs that make me feel like im in a teenage coming of age movie”

Favorite impulsive/”bad” coping techniques?

eating too many snacks, baking (i’ve made two loafs of banana bread and i think three trays of brownies in the last few weeks?), and staring at the wall while listening to music that makes me feel like i’m in another dimension

Favorite healthy/”good” coping techniques?

i love reading and writing on here and ao3. probably most healthy was that i talked to my friend the other night about how i was struggling, which i’ve been scared to talk about, and it made me feel a lot better

Dream Job-  I’d really like to work in the MET’s costume institute as a curator or a conservator for all the clothing but the likelihood?? Very low. I’m probably going to try to be a tailor or do something with sewing.

Favorite song- Right now ? probably Susie(Dramas) or Writing by Elton John 

Instrument-  None ! I played the violin for like 3 minutes in elementary school and then took piano 2 times in middle/high school. I’d like to learn some string instrument but I don’t have the drive :/

Random Fact- I collect paper fortune tellers and have a very unhealthy knowledge of Chernobyl :) (its to the point where on my first date I explained the disaster in its entirety to my date ?? not sure why i did that) 

Aesthetics- Anything maximalist or vintage. Also ! Eastern European (big surprise) and Scandinavian stuff. I love Ukrainian folk art and I’m trying to find a good book on the stuff that isn’t babyish, I’ve also been learning Swedish for a few years and I think I’m gonna try and study abroad there eventually. Oh !! If you search Hungarian Folktales on youtube there’s a really cool channel that has a ton of them all animated and translated into English it’s so amazing. I could watch them for hours.

In honor of @thenightwindow finishing A World in Parallel, I was inspired to design a book-cover-style edit for her incredible Blakefield fics! If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and read the original fic, A Kinder World, the one that started it all!

(One of the fragments in the bottom edit is a drawing by @fragileanimal! Her art of Schofield is essentially my headcanon for what Tom’s sketch looks like)
