Annalise was hunting.  Someone with superhuman abilities was in town.  She didn’t know who.  She wasn’t aiming to kill this person, she was told that was nigh impossible, instead she was aiming to recon on them.  Hunt them, study them, see what she could learn about them, hopefully get them to their cause.  But if she simply could tell the Hunter Organization about them, that would be enough.  She still wasn’t sure who this guy was.  It was probably a guy.  But...  That was all she knew.  So she poked around, looking to see what she could.

Well the presence of undead in the forest would certainly have caused quite a stir. Consequently the amount of rabbit chatter was at the same time noisy yet distant, keeping well abreast of the approaching pair. It fell upon the doctor herself, then, to manage the incoming monsters, which she did by a brief disintegration as soon as the letter had been read. How bothersome to be called away for a house call in such a manner, but she made the proper preparations and set out regardless. Injured shrine maidens could cause no small amount of problems, after all...

I have no idea why the shit it happens. It took forever to write this. It started doing so since yesterday. It also did so some months ago.

I can easily imagine how something can be broken down into its basic elements, and reassembled into something new. Likewise, I can see how things work, which then inspires me to replicate it or alter it, as the case may be.

“Once I know what effect I want a spell to have, it’s simply a matter of making it work, which takes trial and error. I don’t require much of that, however.”

Sorcery: the Groupening

Funny thing about magic... There are so many variations, schools of thought on usage, sources of power, and card games featuring it that it’s hard to believe that so many languages use only one word for it. Mika found it all especially fascinating since magic in Gensokyo really only had one flavor; danmaku and spellcards. Everything else was exotic, exciting! And really, what was more alluring to a young woman?

Now, enter an older gentlemen with rugged good looks, a tendency towards brooding, an air of danger, and extensive knowledge of dangerous magics. Oh yeah; Momo was one of Mika’s favorite people. If her parents also both thoroughly disapproved of the planeswalker, well, that was just icing on the cake.

“Good day, Mister Momo,” Mika greeted in a breezy tone. “I read the book you passed me about your color wheel. It was very fascinating. Would you mind telling me more about red magics?”
