Whispered thoughts

The wind was blowing more than usual that night, picking up ocean water and misting it through the air. Such weather was soothing to Claudia that night, giving her a reason to love New Orleans. The tourist seemed to agree with her. Despite the fact that each day it was becoming dark out sooner and sooner it didn't seem to both the tourist. If anything, it added to spooky lure of the city. This meant the petite had plenty to choose from when she decided to hunt and the french quarter was an ideal spot.
Settling for a simple light blue dress, Claudia had set out that night, walking along the side walk, glancing at the people around her. Most were too busy with their activities to give her a passing glance which was fine by her. It were the few that hesitated that would end up as her meal or cause her to quickly slip away and avoid confrontation. She was just about to really focus on trying to find a snack for the night when a passing thought caught her attention.
Not quite a thought but a name she didn't expect to hear that night. Stoping in her steps, Claudia turned to spot what looked to be a normal woman except somewhere she had obtained the name Lestat and the petite was determined to find out why.
