Gigwise Presents Bright Light Bright Light

Gigwise is is proud to present an intimate show featuring Bright Light Bright Light at The Old Queens Head in Angel, London.

Bright light Bright Light makes pop music, remixes other artists, co-runs London clubnights Another Night and Comfortable Shoes, and has a huge love of music, largely from 1988-1996.

His debut album 'Make Me Believe In Hope' came out to rave reviews in June this year. Hailed as the hottest new thing in music by Elton John, as "the boy Robyn in all but name" by NMEand as "a songwriter of extraordinary dexterity" by Sunday Times Culture, Rod has made a name for himself with his brand of late 80s / early 90s influenced electronic pop. His bootlegs of both his own work and of his favourite songs add a healthy touch of wit and personality to his sets, and his remixes of Kelis and Ellie Goulding have become blog favourites.

Support will come fromEric Solomon An incredibly gifted musician who blends synth driven, electronic pop music infused with classic soul melodies.

Applying his sound to remixes for groups such as The XX, Passion Pit, andOwl City, Eric began getting notice from major music publications (including Rolling Stone.com) and landing #1 Most Downloaded Track on Hype Machine.

In 2011, Eric released 2 singles “ALL”, which went #19 on the Billboard Emerging Canadian Artist Chart, and “Addicted", which reached #18 on that same chart, cracked Top 40 at Radio, while it’s French version “Accro De Toi” burned up to #14 in Eric’s old hometown of Montreal.
