no you're right they haven't followed the comics at all. they needed to kill a main character not just for shock value, but bc it's the frickin zombie apocalypse and only half-fleshed-out characters were being killed off. daryl's fan fave so he's out, rick's the lead and carl's his son, maggie's pregnant, carol's MIA--so that left michonne and glenn. but it's BS because this show is ALWAYS killing off the black characters, & now they kill off the only other poc.

TO BE HONEST tho i thought they were gonna go the “edgelord” route and kill off maggie BECAUSE she’s pregnant. Like idk this show is so emo and edgy I havent fucked with it since the time they were trying to leave the prison. IDK tho. Im just so bitter it was Glenn. like even if he was gonna die he deserved to go out like saving someone or doing something Glenn like. not just getting beat tf up from sam and deans dad :///

to play devil's advocate, that was what happened in the comics and readers were gunning for the show writers not to dick out on it. i haven't been interested in the show since s3or4 but i thought it was a good episode (my mom watches). they'd been copping out with less-important character deaths for a LONG time. i get it though, steven was one of the few asian actors on tv so i think that's the worst part of it. i really hope he keeps getting work bc i <3 him.

I completely agree. I didn’t see the episode but I saw clips and I know enough. Thats the entire reason I made this post is because I love Steven. He didn’t deserve that, and he was like one of the only asian actors on tv besides the iconic miss Lucy Liu. Idk :/ maybe I’m reaching ( and tell me if you think i am) but they used the fans as an excuse to kill off an iconic asian character? like I get that it happened in the comics, but the show hasn’t really been following the comics????? or has it?? I’m not too knowledgeable on the canon.

Yeah i'm totally fine. was with alia, two dudes tried to jump us, we fought them off and they backed off. nothing stolen, no injuries. all good baby baby
