familiar faces | avery & nate
There was waking up with a start, and Nate was the epitome of that structure as he slowly felt around the cushioned couch, finding that distinct unfamiliarity of it. And, as if on cue, his eyes opened as quickly as they could before he sat up to take a look around where he was. “Holy shit.” He must have passed the hell out last night. It was the only logical line up of events that he could come up with, but if he was so drunk, he couldn’t even remember where he ended up, another passing thought hit him. Who did he end up going home with last night?
Pulling off the blanket that had been wrapped around him, he pushed himself off the couch, wanting to do a quick zoom around the place to see where he ended up, but the last thing he wanted was to run into whoever he was with, if anybody was even home. While those thoughts all flashed through his head, he felt a dizzying sensation hit him, the hangover of all hangovers. Cursing out loud again, he grabbed for his head, feeling sick to his stomach, and quickly trying to breathe through the nausea. While he felt like dying, he managed to remain standing, albeit, leaning more on the arm of the couch as he took a look around the room. His deciphering skills weren’t much, but he needed to find any picture to see who’s place he could possibly be at.
Before making the decision to do a sweep of the place, Nate’s eyes fell onto some older pictures nearly hidden from plain view. One in particular grabbed his attention more than any of the others, as he nearly recognized the young girl in them being from his own pictures he had from young childhood. “Amelia?” He questioned for no one in particular, before backing away from the picture. Was he with Amelia? Was she here? This had to be her place. His mind spun a little bit faster, before he ran through the small place, trying to get a better insight into where he was. His speed warranted him to end up knocking right into Avery, a completely unexpected guest, though because of the smaller restraints, he caught both himself and her so neither of them ended on the ground this time. “Avery?” He questioned back, confusion painted across his face.
