30 Days of DID: Day 11

How much control do you have over switches? Do you know of any specific things which cause specific alters to front?

I usually can ask people to front, but its totally up to them if theyre going to, but no, I dont really have control over it. Vida seems to be good at limiting the number of people in front, though.

I've noticed that the following triggers in different alters:

Being overwhelmed with a task, fear, being alone and not wanting to be, sibilings in front - Vida

The thought of getting high, certain music, sibilings in front - Blue

Questions being asked about the system, needing to resolve a conflict, sibilings in front - Max

Flashbacks - Room

Blue fronting - Leo

Coloring, wearing pajamas - Little

Mania/manic-like episodes - Omori

[Stuff I'm not saying to prevent someone intentionally triggering The Player] - The Player

I haaate the "talking to yourself is fine, but its weird if you start talking back" thing that people say, mostly old people, but I dont know why it bothers me so bad 😭😭 Like its not even that crazy (Also, obligatory mention of, "evil alter" jokes from a singlet are lowkey out of pocket)

I do love any joke involving talking about "the people in my head" as a group thats deciding things for me (eg. The council has decided we will have ice cream, etc,), its hilarious to me to think of them as some kind of decision making secret group

We've got 2 alters who like blue/"are" blue by my synesthesia (plus one guy named blue), 2 that are/like yellow, and 3 that are/like black; Otherwise, I use a lot of neon green in decorating our pluralspace because I love neon green lmaoo

These were all in reference to the miis we have of all our headmates in tomadochi life, but they were hilarious once it occurred to me that these were things that we thought:

Blue - "You should force-feed me baked beans"

Vida - "I swear to god, if I dont stop trying to move in with the fourth year old, I'm going to [unintelligible but vaguely annoyed sounds]"

Omori - "I wish I was real" and then just the general feeling of the 😔 emoji

30 Days of DID: Day 10

Have you ever done a system map? How extensively have you mapped your system?

If this means headspace, I have no idea. I dont think we even have one. Our archivist hasn't been very present, and he had the most ability to access internal information and spaces.

If this means relationships, however, heres what we've got:

Blue, Vida, and Max are sibilings, Harriet (not shown) is their mom, Leo is Blue's friend, myself and Blue are Little's caretakers, and Blue is Dandelion's caretaker. I'm friends with Vida and Max, and then Rain hates me and says fucked up shit to me. Ranboo, Room, and Omori dont have any known relation; Omori doesnt really get along super well with most people because hes pretty different from everyone else, Ranboo is too shy, and Room as previously mentioned just doesnt do anything /hj

30 Days of DID: Day 9

What level of co-consciousness do you have? How do you feel your communication skills are within the system? How do you want to grow in those skills?

Co-conciousness is very strange for us. Sometimes, its split between different body parts (eg. one alter doing something with the hands while another talks, etc), sometimes its one alter controlling the body and not having any communication while the other is having thoughts but no control of the body, and sometimes its just like someone walks into the room while you're doing something just to hang out (eg. you can feel them there, and their ideas, biases, and personality bleed into your own, but youre still in control of everything.)

Communication isnt something I can speak on very well. I can only talk directly to one alter and get responses out loud or in our brain, otherwise our only communication is just via our switch tracking app (SimplyPlural ftw). We dont use the chat feature, but we do write journal entries or notes to others amongst ourselves. Some of us just straight up dont - Little, who doesn't know hes a system, and Room, who AFAIK doesnt have any communication capabilities. But for the most part, communication is pretty limited and slow, except for rare times when many people are in front at once and we're able to all 'talk' (sounds like a bunch of people talking over each other lol)

I want to get better about writing to others. Maybe I'll turn the chat back on in our app and see if that helps, since its hard to not know what's going on.

30 days of DID: Day 8

How did you first discover you were plural? Was it before, after, or during diagnosis?

For me, I started realizing it when I would talk to myself, get responses sharing opinions or thoughts I didnt have, and also couldnt control the left half of my body. It was good, ultimately - since it was one of our caretakers who was doing it so we could hold hands so she could help me, since it was when I was so agoraphobic even just standing up caused me to start bawling. I knew I had trauma and alot of PTSD symptoms, but I officially got diagnosed very recently, so it was pre-diagnosis of the trauma itself (if thatd even be considered a thing, "diagnosing trauma" lol)

I'm currently softlaunching the idea of being a system to my therapist, bc I tried to tell my parents and they thought I was crazy, so when they met her they told her that I thought I had DID (I dont) and when I obviously rushed to deny it, she said "Oh no you dont have it, trust me, I work with people who do." Soooo I'm a little worried lol but of her own accord she came to the conclusion that something disassociation related was happening to me, and im slowly explaining it to her

Who knows about your system? Who do you want to know? What do you feel like it’s like coming out as multiple?

Most of my IRLs dont know. If they do, its because they follow me here (except for like 2 people I told, but they follow me here anyway lol). I want to be able to tell more people, but I feel like it sounds ridiculous, and I'm scared I'll sound crazy. I havent told most of my friends because I know it sounds weird or stupid - like I'm using it as an excuse or making it up since so few people seem to talk about it. It's scary to tell people, especially because our experiences are a little funky, but its a relief once you get it out :)

(Yes I know weve got osdd and not did but shh I want to do it)

Day 1: Describe your system. What kind of system, how big, anything you feel is a good introduction.

We're a traumagenic OSDD-1b system with 12 active headmates! Theres 8 brainmades, 3 fictives, and 1 Introject. I've got a post already thats everyones names, so I'm not gonna bother typing that all out.

(let's hope I remember to do this tommorow, someone yell at me if I dont lol)
