I'm going to Thailand! I

Hey guys! I would really appreciate it if you read this post through. So, I am going to Thailand this year for a mission trip. My team and I will be working with a missionary and a local hospital to provide health care through the hospital while my team and I hold a hygiene fair for children in each village we visit. We’ll be teaching the kids about dental care, parasite prevention, nutrition, etc. through fun activities. Through this, we hope to show the people of Thailand a fragment of how much God loves and cares for them. It is a difficult task in preparing because of the various costs going into the trip and educating ourselves first about how to go into less privileged countries and areas without being paternalistic for we were all created in the image of God and have been created so uniquely.

I really don’t do this regularly, and this will be a one time thing, but please consider donating to my trip, as I’m super close to reaching my goal amount. I’ve moved but not forever

So, I started a new, separate blog because I haven’t been feeling fandomy recently due to university and the busies of all that. I’m really just learning more about myself, my faith, etc. right now, and it’s all great, so I share it on my other blog. It doesn’t mean I won’t be on here time to time, but it’s not my priority right now! I’ve been feeling strange these days because it feels like my heart is constantly breaking and like my stomach has butterflies all day long. I don’t really know why I feel this way, but I’m definitely praying about it. My roommate jokes that it’s that I’ve fallen in love with a certain someone, and I really don’t want that to be true. I don’t think that’s it, but I also don’t want to be in denial of what I’m feeling because right now, I’m just trying to figure all of it out. I am so grateful for having such a strong community behind me to support me here in university and that they’re always willing to pray for me. I am so thankful for a gracious Father in Heaven who is revealing His truths to me, and hopefully this puzzle will be solved soon. For now, I just feel weird.

Faith Fridays

Hey guys! There’s something I want to try out here on my blog. I’m sure some of you guys see my text posts on faith and when I’ve been really moved by a sermon or something in the Bible. I always end my posts with an opening to questions about Christianity, my faith, what the Bible says about x, y, and z. I’m no professional in this field of study, but I have gained many truths in my past 18 years and as a believer and follower of Christ for several years. I want to give you truthful answers to your questions about Christianity and really anything you want to ask. I think there are some very unreliable sources on the internet regarding Christianity, and I’m not here to change your mind about Christianity, but I always love to share about what the Bible truly says about the Christian faith. 

So, I think that every Friday I’ll make a post called “Faith Fridays,” where you can ask me anything about my faith, Christianity, etc. Please don’t just send me mean comments about my faith, but really ask questions that you are curious about. You don’t have to believe necessarily what I say, but I think it’s great to be introspective and curious about different religions. Even if it’s not a Friday, feel free to ask. I love answering questions. Thanks guys!!!

Also, please reblog if you want because I would love to spread this message to wide audiences because who knows if one of your followers has a question.

maybe hiatus (for now)

This is kind of scary, but I’m slowly coming to the realization that tumblr doesn’t make me happy anymore. I think it’s something that I was burdened with because I felt like I had to keep up in order to not lose followers and gain followers, but the more I think about it, am I really only happy for the followers? If I lost it all, would I be okay with it? That’s a scary thing to think that a part of my happiness is based off of people deciding to follow my blog, and I really don’t want that to constitute how I spend my time. This isn’t goodbye forever, but it just means that I’ll be on when I want to be on rather than feeling like I have to. I still want to make digital art, such as gifs and graphics, so that may be a thing coming up. I just don’t want to feel too stressed with university coming up and handling a digital world. So yeah. I love all of you guys, and I’ll see every now and then<3
